Mojang conducted its second significant Minecraft Live stream of 2025 this weekend, full of various announcements and unveilings. In case you missed it, here’s the complete overview:
New Drop – The Copper Age (Available 30th September 2025)
Many of you have been trying out elements of this drop that alters early-game tool and weapon advancement, introduces the copper golem, showcases powered shelves (including the clever ways you’ve utilized them), and more!
Even more thrilling, you’ll be engaging with this game drop in just a few days. The Copper Age is set to release on September 30th. Get ready to download!
Happy Ghast – Music Video
“Our previous drop, Chase the Skies, introduced a plethora of fantastic features to Minecraft, and the happy ghast remains a community favorite. We produced a brief video to honor just how charming it truly is.”
Dragon Ball Z DLC is “arriving soon” to Minecraft
“You’ll be unleashing Kamehamehas and launching Spirit Bombs in this new DLC – entirely focused on Dragon Ball Z! It will be launched later this year, although a complimentary Super Saiyan hair character creator item is available for download right now! This DLC has everything you can imagine (as long as you’re contemplating Dragon Ball Z themes) so stay tuned for more information and have your Dragon Ball wish fulfilled!”
New Underwater Mob – The Nautilus
The Nautilus (part of the “Mounts of Mayhem” drop arriving later this year) is the latest underwater creature, simplifying underwater construction. You can also tame it, ride it, and armor it. Furthermore, there’s Zombie Nautilus with Drowned riding this new mob.
“We introduce the nautilus, a rideable underwater creature that will have you exploring the depths like never before! You can even construct from it, similar to our old buddy the happy ghast, and adorn it in vibrant armor. Deep sea exploration remains perilous, but the new “Breath of the Nautilus” effect (which halts your breath meter), along with your enhanced mobility, will ease the challenge somewhat.”
New Weapon – The Spear
Another “Mounts of Mayhem” update will introduce the spear and Zombie Horses (with spears). Here’s a bit more about this new armament.
The spear – our first tiered weapon in quite a while. “Tiered” indicates you can craft it from various materials, and each will function in slightly different manners…You can stab with it or execute a charge attack. But be mindful of your timing – hold the charge attack for too long, and your strikes will diminish in attributes and effectiveness. Just as exhilarating is the way that the spear’s damage is influenced by your pace. Move faster (for instance, on a mount) and you’ll strike even harder!
