Update []: Before the launch of Double Dragon Revive on the Switch and several other platforms next month, Arc System Works presented a new trailer at the Tokyo Game Show this week. You can view it above.

Last year, Arc System Works revealed Double Dragon Revive, but a Nintendo version was notably absent.
Now, during the company’s latest presentation this week, a Switch version has been confirmed for launch alongside other game versions on 23rd October 2025.
This new installment will “revive” the classic beat ’em up franchise in a new form designed for contemporary gameplay styles. It will also utilize Arc System Works’ experience in fighting game development to create a modern beat ’em up “that aims for an electrifying gameplay experience”.
Development producer Tatsunori Ishikawa stated the team is putting in its “complete effort into development” to guarantee that the latest addition to this 38-year-old franchise is released in excellent condition.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that if you pre-order the game, you’ll receive the exclusive classic Double Dragon Dodgeball. Pre-orders for this forthcoming release are also accessible in both physical and digital formats.
