One of the titles that has garnered considerable interest following today’s Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 event is Project Evilbane, a four-player PvE cooperative game slated for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in 2027.
While that certainly feels like quite a long wait, the PC version is set to launch in the latter half of 2026, and Xbox has been conducting playtests for PC Insider participants lately—one of them is still operational in select countries at this moment!
Here’s the latest update regarding those PC playtests:
UPDATE: September 19, 2025 2:00 PM PT (5:00 PM ET) The Project EVILBANE Pre-Alpha Playtest has broadened its regions and is now accessible to Xbox Insiders in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
UPDATE: August 31, 2025 7:00 PM PT (10:00 PM ET) – The Project EVILBANE Pre-Alpha Playtest is being prolonged and will remain open until further notice. Openings are still available, so feel free to join the preview today!
If you’re anticipating the Xbox release, it is noticeably going to take some time, but hopefully, we will receive an invite for the playtest on console eventually.
