Sounds great
Annapurna Interactive has collaborated with Iridium Studios to deliver the music-centric RPG People of Note to audiences.
Expected in 2026, the game will center around pop vocalist Cadence, who comes to grips with the fact that going solo might not suffice for her to attain fame.
Of course, she’ll assemble her band with a variety of unique musicians, each contributing their distinct influences to her performance.
Also, this is indeed an RPG, so those musical sequences – they serve as the foundation of the game’s turn-based combat system.
The synopsis discloses:
“In People of Note, engage in turn-based battles like never before: each skirmish is an interactive musical show featuring dynamic combat conditions, real-time rhythm-based strikes, and genre-blending mashup attacks!”
As previously indicated, the gameplay will have a hint of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, as timing your assaults will unleash extra damage.
In addition to combat, you’ll also need to investigate the city of Note, where you’ll face various environmental challenges.
However, do not fret if some gameplay components we’ve outlined do not resonate with you – the experience is fully adjustable, allowing you to deactivate any features you dislike.
