Bring the (French) house down

Gen Alpha is about to make a Discovery – it turns out Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger wasn’t originally a Kanye West song, after all.

With the French duo done for the foreseeable future, Fortnite is keeping their legacy alive, with a new interactive experience that will take you through their random access memories.

Launching on 27th September within Epic’s everything game, here are some of the activities you can expect from the collaboration:

“On this journey, blaze your own way in celebrating Daft Punk’s legacy. Remix Daft Punk’s music at Dream Chamber Studios, blast hordes of robots with a soundwave laser in the Robot Rock Arena, make a LEGO music video at Around the World, or hit the Daft Club to dance ‘til dawn. You’ll also find furniture from longtime Daft Punk collaborator Hervet Manufacturier throughout the experience.”

Epic insists there’ll be no new music introduced as part of the experience, and this isn’t an indication the band is getting back together. It’s also not a live concert – it’s more of an “interactive playground”, according to the company.

Of course, no collaboration is complete without an Item Shop bundle, and you can look forward to two different packs inspired by the French disco deities.

In addition to skins, you can expect Jam Tracks, emotes, instruments, and even a music reactive pyramid for use in LEGO Fortnite.

That’s more Daft Punk than you can shake a glow stick at, eh?
