Sounding pretty healthy!

Battlefield 6 is less than a month away, and as we near the game’s upcoming launch on Xbox, developer Battlefield Studios continues to drop fresh details on the title. Among those details are all of the resolution and performance figures that the game is targeting across Xbox Series X and S.
Yep, these were all discussed in a recent interview with developer Christian Buhl over at IGN – right from PS5 Pro to Xbox Series S. We’re going to keep things simple by just dropping the Xbox figures down below, and thankfully, 60FPS is a minimum across both consoles. Here are those Xbox Series figures:
- Xbox Series X Quality Mode: 1440p / 60FPS
- Xbox Series X Performance Mode: 1280p / up to 120FPS
- Xbox Series S: 1080p / 60FPS
During the interview, the dev went on to say that Xbox Series S has just the one mode “because it is a less powerful console” – but then added that “it does run very solidly at 60 frames per second at 1080p”. This is all sounding pretty good to us and we’re looking forward to getting the game in our hands to try out for ourselves!
During development, Battlefield Studios has focused on performance above all – even going as far as omitting ray tracing completely to ensure smooth frame rates for everyone. Battlefield 6 launches October 10th for Xbox Series X|S, and after that impressive beta, we’re itching to dive into the full game.
What do you make of these targets? Talk to us about Battlefield 6 down below.
