Now that the Switch 2 is fully underway, makers of add-ons have flooded the market with all manner of extras to let gamers soup-up their time with Nintendo’s latest machine.

JSAUX is among them, rolling out a rather elegant charging cradle aimed at anyone who already has multiple Joy-Con 2 pairs. Priced at £19.99 / $25.99, does it deserve a spot on your desk? Let’s dig in.

Kicking off with looks, the EnergyFlow station is a sleek slice of hardware. The elongated silhouette feels like an Xbox Series X that’s been tugged at both ends—only far tinier—yet still roomy enough to cradle four Joy-Con 2s.

Its headline feature is the RGB bar across the front. It flares to life the moment you plug the bundled USB-A-to-C lead into a power brick, and you can kill the glow any time with a quick tap of the round key on top.

When active, colours cascade downward, mimicking power streaming into your pads. It’s surprisingly eye-catching; I’ve happily left it shimmering beside me while hammering out these very words. Just know the show is strictly binary—on or off—with no custom patterns or palette tweaks mid-charge.

Docking the pads mirrors the console itself: slide them onto the rails until they click. Raised icons on the upper shell mark left and right bays; mix them up and nothing juices. Flip them upside-down, however, and they still recharge as long as the + and – symbols on pad and bay line up.

Tiny emerald indicators on the underside show which of the four bays are occupied. Steady means idle, pulsing means topping up, and solid across the board equals full—time to pop them off.

On first use I questioned whether the magnets were a fraction tame: a gentle tug frees a pad without pressing the release button. Tilt the dock and jiggle, and the controllers can slide out.

Still, who routinely manhandles their charger? Park it on a shelf, snap the pads in, walk away. For that scenario the magnet strength is adequate, though anyone craving a firmer grip might wish for a beefier latch.

JSAUX quotes roughly 2.5 h for a complete refill, and our tests bear that out. If you’re still rocking a single Joy-Con 2 set, this cradle is overkill. Accumulated a few extra pairs? It’s a tidy, dependable way to keep them powered and organised.
