Timed exclusivity is finally over!

A short while ago we received a firm launch date for the Xbox edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, yet Square Enix didn’t stop there. Moments after the reveal dropped during today’s Nintendo Direct, the publisher clarified that the complete remake trilogy will land on Xbox — confirming FF7 Rebirth will arrive and that Part 3 will skip any PlayStation-only window whenever it debuts. Cheers!
Whispers had already circulated about Rebirth touching down in 2026; Square hasn’t offered a precise window, but it’s comforting to know the 2024 PS5 adventure is being adapted. Better still, the concluding chapter will launch on Xbox hardware simultaneously rather than enjoying another stint of Sony exclusivity. The official notice is right here:
Our pals at Push Square recently relayed a status report from Square Enix on FF7 Remake Part 3, noting that development on the finale is “advancing without a hitch.” While we still lack a formal name, the studio did reveal that the launch schedule for Part 3 “has already been locked in,” suggesting it isn’t too distant.
We’ll drop that story link underneath, together with our freshest coverage on Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for Xbox.
