“The Xbox Ally remains chill, hushed, and rock-steady.”

While we twiddle our thumbs for a confirmed price tag and the green light on pre-orders for the incoming ROG Xbox Ally handheld(s), ASUS keeps drip-feeding us extra tidbits about what’s inside the machine.
Case in point: a member of the Xbox Ally Reddit hive-mind has unearthed a hidden ASUS clip that dives into the “advanced Zero Gravity cooling system” packed into the ROG Xbox Ally, and it’s well worth a look—embedded up top.
The footage breaks down how Anti-Gravity heat pipes shunt warmth away from the APU through an upgraded capillary wick that keeps liquid flowing even when the unit is upside-down. Paired with bigger blowers that push 15% extra airflow versus the current ROG Ally X, a third exhaust port to slash acoustics, intake dust filters, and a reworked fin stack, the panel stays cooler and quieter all round.
ASUS sums the whole shebang up like this:
“To craft the ultimate portable gaming session, we engineered an advanced Zero Gravity thermal solution that keeps the Ally humming however you tilt it. From marathon couch marathons to bus-ride brawls, the Xbox Ally stays frosty, silent, and dependable.”
Oddly, the firm has left the clip unlisted on YouTube for roughly four weeks—impossible to stumble on without the direct URL—so we’re scratching our heads over how the Xbox Ally subreddit sniffed it out (but hey, kudos!).
Maybe ASUS is simply leaking crumbs on purpose; after all, they also dropped a short ergonomics flick a day or two ago (scroll to the foot of this page). It’s less thrilling, yet still offers a decent peek at how the hardware will nestle in your palms.
Rest assured we’ll shout the moment we learn the price or pre-order window for the ROG Xbox Ally—launch is only a month away, so the clock is ticking loud.
