A finale framed like an extraction

We’re already aware that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will deliver its complete story with co-op support, yet a fresh report from Insider Gaming, courtesy of steadfast reporter Tom Henderson, claims the closing chapter may shove every participant into a 32-player extraction-style battlefield.
That same write-up – referencing unnamed insiders – indicates the oft-rumoured Avalon area will act as the stage for the last assignment, where squads battle rival players while advancing objectives in order to “extract” their spoils intact.
Naturally, this diverges starkly from the series’ habit of sealing its bombastic campaigns in tightly scripted action before sending you to the multiplayer lobby.
Henderson further notes the upcoming title will interweave progression, letting you advance your Battle Pass, operators, and firearms within the campaign. In short, everything feels more tightly threaded together than before.
Should this pan out, this year’s single-player segment may prioritize cooperative play more than any prior entry in the franchise. If squad-focused thrills are your cup of tea, you’ll probably greet the change with open arms—though veterans who still cherish the solo rollercoaster of earlier installments might not feel the same.
Expect tons of fresh details shortly; Black Ops 7 will take center stage at Gamescom Opening Night Live, and you can catch the schedule at this link. Whispered word has it the launch is lined up for 14 November.
