Consider us hooked!

Our comprehensive breakdown of every Xbox-bound release landing next week will be ready in the blink of an eye, and nestled among those arrivals is Echoes of the End – a visually “stunning” fantasy escapade due to drop on Xbox Series X|S August 12th.

Seventeen minutes of gameplay await you up above (keep in mind the fighting mechanics have been tweaked since then – details just a paragraph away), with developers boasting that it “weaves a profoundly intimate, character-centric narrative with pulse-pounding spellwork and blade combat, nimble traversal, and head-scratching riddles.”

The project is being crafted by Myrkur Games, an Icelandic outfit born in 2016, and delivered to shops by Deep Silver – the label behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Dead Island 2, and a raft of other blockbuster outings.

Certainly eye-catching! At the time of writing, no verdicts have surfaced for Echoes of the End, and the studio recently overhauled the battle system after fan feedback – you can check out that “Combat Update Showcase” clip further down.

Stick around for extra intel plus fresh screenshots. An official Xbox Store hub for Echoes of the End is already live, yet pre-orders remain locked and pricing hasn’t been revealed.

“Slip into the role of Ryn, a wielder of volatile ancestral magics, on a quest to free her brother from the clutches of an oppressive regime. Alongside Abram Finlay – a tormented explorer steeped in regret – peel back layers of intrigue that could spark a long-dormant war and shatter the realm of Aema. Lose yourself in an emotionally charged journey about trust, redemption, and sacrifice on the precipice of chaos.”
