Automobile chases swapped for horseback gallops

That nail-biting car race in the original Mafia remains one of the standout sequences in the debut title, and although the fresh Mafia: The Old Country trailer stops short of confirming another full-throttle showdown, it nevertheless parades the game’s cars and equine transport in style. With the game roaring onto PS5 this Friday, scope the clip above.
The video pivots to firefights later on, yet its opening 60 seconds lets Hangar 13 flaunt locomotives hurtling down the tracks and riders urging their mounts across sun-drenched Sicilian fields. “Serving the Family may require monstrous acts from Enzo, yet life in the Torrisi villa still delivers flashes of splendour,” the studio teases. “In this final gameplay look, Cesare spotlights slices of the underworld that never spill a drop of blood.”
Mafia: The Old Country is built as a strictly linear journey without a sprawling open world, but the devs imply detours will still offer car jaunts and horseback outings. The wait is almost over: the PS5 edition arrives on 8 August 2025.
Once again, marketing notes the footage has been taken on PS5 Pro hardware, although no confirmation has surfaced regarding tangible Pro-specific perks. What is crystal clear is the studio’s promise that Performance Mode will hover around a steady 60 FPS.
