Now that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially in production, the first full glimpse of Tom Holland’s web-slinger mask-on has surfaced, and the internet is losing its collective mind. Glasgow pedestrians have bombarded Twitter and Instagram with clandestine snapshots, offering every achievable angle of the fresh costume, and needless to say, it hits every nostalgic note fans craved.

Viewers immediately clocked that the updated design appears to cherry-pick elements from both Tobey Maguire’s early-’00s silhouette and Andrew Garfield’s 2012 aesthetic. We’re especially thrilled to see the return of pronounced, dimensional webbing, signalling Peter Parker’s pivot away from Stark-level gadgetry toward his classic, down-to-earth vigilante roots.

This weekend, Holland himself teased a masked-off preview of the suit in a quick video, slightly preempting the avalanche of unofficial set pics that followed minutes later.

After the photo tidal wave, the actor doubled down by dropping an official, unfiltered shot of the complete ensemble, captioned simply: “Spider-Man Brand New Day 1”.

As cameras keep rolling, additional first-look imagery may debut alongside previously unannounced cast drops that broke only days ago. Mark Ruffalo will reportedly suit up once more as The Hulk, marking his MCU re-entry since 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, while Michael Mando scuttles back into frame as Scorpion, the stinger-tailed baddie first glimpsed in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Holland is also set to share the screen with Jon Bernthal’s gun-toting Punisher, fresh off his Daredevil: Born Again stint, plus returning favorites MJ and Ned brought to life by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. Stranger Things standout Sadie Sink has been confirmed to join the lineup, though her specific role remains cloaked in secrecy.

While Marvel has yet to share a formal synopsis, the plot is widely presumed to follow directly from Spider-Man: No Way Home’s reality-wiped finale. After globe-trotting earth-saving escapades beside the Avengers, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige recently emphasized that Brand New Day will narrow its focus to “neighborhood crime rather than end-of-the-world calamities.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day crawls into theaters on July 31, 2026. Curious what else is on the horizon? We have an exhaustive breakdown of every forthcoming Marvel project and a full rundown of everything slated for Phase 6.
