Update []: A fresh cluster of releases is said to have had their compatibility hiccups ironed out after the new Switch 2 firmware revision, Version 20.3.0.
Switch 1 titles patched in August 2025 (as reported by Nintendo Everything):
- Cotton Reboot High Tension
- D.C.III: Da Capo III – Plus Story
- DarkStar One: Nintendo Switch Edition
- Disgaea 7: Hour of Darkness
- Vagante
Big N has also apparently pinpointed glitches affecting Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX and Marco & the Galaxy Dragon (both plagued by slowdown). In addition, Windjammers is said to be struggling with sound issues. We’ll share any further fixes when we receive them.
Original Report: Nintendo pushed the latest firmware refresh (Version 20.2.0) to Switch 2 last week, and it turns out Portal 2 wasn’t the only casualty reversed.
Nintendo Everything claims that “more than twenty titles” with Switch 2 backwards-compatibility hitches now run smoothly thanks to this system tweak. Other notable outings supposedly include Crypt of the NecroDancer, Endless Ocean: Luminous, and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin.

The outlet additionally notes that Nintendo has flagged Switch 2 problems with Batman: Arkham Knight, DarkStar One, and Welcome to Empyreum, so expect patches for those down the road.
