PlayStation and Arc System Works have put out a detailed gameplay walkthrough for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, offering the clearest footage so far.
Running for just shy of twelve minutes, the clip is exactly what Doctor (Doom) prescribes. Labelled as a ‘Beginner’s Guide’, it still fascinates because the mechanics have been kept secret until now.
The tutorial walks through fundamentals such as combos and on-the-fly tag-outs, then spells out the control layout. Light, medium and heavy strikes are tied to face buttons by default, while each hero’s signature moves and joint “assemble” attacks add the must-have kick of flavour.
Different from old-school team brawlers, the entire squad drinks from a single HP pool, pushing players to cycle through every fighter during a round.
Yet, when the bell rings only two heroes are active; the remaining partners jump in later, triggered whenever you wall-smack the adversary clean off-screen.
