By A fresh Octopath Traveler joins the parade!

Nintendo capped its July 2025 Direct today with word of two unseen RPGs from Square Enix, and both have already been locked in for Xbox Series X and S arrivals!
The opening curveball landed as The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales—courtesy of Team Asano (behind Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default, and Triangle Strategy) and sporting their trademark HD-2D visual flair. A complimentary demo drops today exclusively for Switch 2, whereas Xbox fans must hang on until 2026.
Octopath Traveler 0 was sort-of outed pre-show, so its blazing arrival wasn’t a total shock—yet that hardly dulls the thrill! Acting as a formal prequel to the original quest, it promises “a sprawling saga overflowing with amazing stories to unearth.” The sweetest part? December launch confirmed!
