Take a sneak peek at the inaugural developer diary for the upcoming game

In 2023, the title ENDS grabbed plenty of eyes on Kickstarter after pulling in more than £10,000 to fund the indie venture, alongside a concept teaser that clocked over 100,000 views.

This week the project resurfaced with its maiden developer video, offering a glimpse behind the curtain at how production is shaping up and what sort of play experience awaits us. That clip sits at the top of the page, revealing quick flashes of melee scraps, text messages on the in-game phone, parkour-like movement, character designs and sundry other features.

And, to cut off the inevitable question, yes, a home-console edition is locked in! ENDS is slated for both Xbox and PlayStation, as revealed on the project’s official Discord server. The caveat is that the initial early-access phase will remain PC-exclusive.

Will ENDS hit every platform? We’ll release early access first through Steam, then roll the entire build out for Xbox and PlayStation after.

The crew plans to drop ENDS into Steam Early Access during Q1 2026; yet, judging from the still-rough footage, that timetable feels fairly bold—its promise is obvious, but the polish is clearly a work in progress. One saving grace is the sizable hype it’s already generated, giving it a ready-made fan base.

We’ll be watching closely to see how ENDS continues to evolve and whether the Xbox edition can still slip into 2026, though we’d currently bet on a 2027 console arrival. Expect updates as they come.

Below you’ll find extra details on the game itself, plus some screenshots and the original concept trailer:

ENDS is a solo adventure set on Pembridge Estate in London, an area slated for demolition by the local council. You step into Rahim’s shoes, guiding his daily life alongside best mates Sonny and Reece. The tale weighs up the dilemmas and decisions of inner-city existence, juxtaposing the disparate realities of social strata.

Blending sandbox freedom and RPG systems, players dive into a raw, street-level crime drama rooted in believable mechanics. It’s a coming-of-age arc dissecting the tangled threads of brotherhood, family ties, and allegiance.
