KinnikuNeko Super Muscle Cat launched digitally on PS5 and PS4 earlier this year, but seeing as it serves as a tribute to 90s anime, it was always guaranteed to get stonking physical release.
While we don’t always report on limited edition physical runs like this, we reckon this bundle needs to be seen to be believed.
Sure, its contents aren’t that crazy – a key ring, a pin badge, an art book, etc – but the release’s ridiculous sense of style makes it something you may want to add to your collection.

Here’s the full selection of items included for £69.99 in the collector’s box:
- Full physical game
- Instructions Booklet
- KinnikuNeko OST
- Neko Pin
- The Art of KinnikuNeko
- Lemon Keychain
- Stickers Sheet
- Postcards Set
- Collector’s Box
A standard physical release will also be available for those who don’t want all of the bonus items, but how can you resist that CD soundtrack with a zoomed in shot of the eponymous feline’s Speedos?
For those of you not familiar with this game, here’s the official blurb:
“Get ready to enjoy this crazy 2D platform adventure starring KinnikuNeko! This cat with a bodybuilder’s body will fight against a huge alien army that has invaded planet Earth and captured all its inhabitants. He will be accompanied by his friends Lemon and Keita, who have not yet been captured by the evil beings from outer space.”
The full game features a mixture of platforming, combat, and minigames, all with a really vibrant Saturday morning cartoon-style aesthetic. We really love the presentation personally, and we’re tempted by this physical bundle.
