Begins this week
Capcom’s given us a proper look at what’s coming to Monster Hunter Wilds via the new Flamefete event — and there seems to be a decent amount of stuff to dig into.
This summer festival kicks off on the 23rd July, and lasts until the 6th August. Hunters can look forward to the Grand Hub getting a makeover, and the addition of special event quests that dish out new armour sets and weapons — like a gunlance that resembles a giant cob of corn. Hey, we won’t judge.
A new DLC pack will also be made available, featuring a fiery seikret skin, and new summery outfits for Alma, Gemma, and Erik. Something tells us Capcom’s about to make a healthy profit on those…
Oh, and guild leader Fabius is dusting himself off to take part in your missions as a support hunter. The lance-wielding veteran will only be around for the festival, so make sure to bring him along.
Will you be checking out the Flamefete in Monster Hunter Wilds? Remember to stay hydrated in the comments section below.
Robert (or Rob if you’re lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
