Alongside a Kickstarter initiative and pricing information
It’s been years since we last discussed ExoMecha here at Pure Xbox, during which it was anticipated to be preparing for launch, but was ultimately postponed until 2022. Fast forward to 2025, and it’s still not available.
The developer remains highly enthusiastic about this endeavor, and it has undergone a significant transformation – it will no longer be a free-to-play game, and there’s a Kickstarter initiative to assist in overcoming the final obstacles.
You can explore this for yourself on Kickstarter, where you’ll discover a wealth of details and visuals regarding the game, along with confirmation that the launch price will be $19.99. This decision is reportedly due to ExoMecha lacking a publisher to facilitate a free-to-play release, although what the future holds remains uncertain.
“Online games can be quite costly to launch, and we do not have a publisher that can assist us in making this game free to play. Therefore, ExoMecha will be $19.99 upon release. We hope you all appreciate this decision!
ExoMecha began as a solo development voyage, and subsequently, we became a very small remote studio. We desire to create this game with you — instead of for someone else. We want our game to align with our players’ desires, not publishers’. We are seeking one final push to cross the finish line.”
When it eventually launches, ExoMecha will manifest as a multiplayer shooter presenting a “stunning sci-fi gaming experience” featuring 20v20 “Conquest” and 1v100 “Mecha Royale” modes.
Currently, the team aims for a Q1 2026 debut on Xbox and PC, and we presume the Kickstarter initiative will exceed its goal quite rapidly. As highlighted in the title, the game is promoted as an “Xbox exclusive” regarding consoles at the moment, and it remains to be seen if this status will be permanent.
