Sucker Punch hasn’t overlooked Infamous.

“I would be thrilled to work on additional Infamous,” Sucker Punch creative director Nate Fox shared with Game Informer, adding, “I would love to see a trilogy re-release, but Sucker Punch operates on a single game at a time basis, and right now our primary focus is on completing Ghost of Yōtei.”

The Infamous franchise has been inactive for over a decade now, so even though Sucker Punch is rightly concentrating on Ghost of Yotei at the moment, it’s reassuring to know that there’s still interest in the brand from executives. Specifically, a bundle deal remastering the three principal games in the franchise along with their expansions would serve as an excellent opportunity for newer Sucker Punch fans to delve into the studio’s open-world origins.

I recall the Infamous series most vividly as the title that propelled video game graphics into the next era, serving as a visual testament to the enhanced fidelity of the PS4. It was Infamous: Second Son, and it was the most stunning game I had ever laid eyes on at that time.

I eventually acquired my own PS4 but ultimately drifted away from Infamous Second Son, and similarly, Sucker Punch opted to pursue different intellectual properties after five years dedicated solely to creating Infamous titles. In 2022, the studio confirmed it had “no intentions” to revisit the franchise. Here we are in 2025, and it seems there are still no plans, but at least they are discussing it.
