We now have a date for one of the most anticipated Xbox launches of the year! EA Sports FC 26 is set to officially arrive for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S this September, and the reveal trailer is available to view above.
EA is emphasizing the significance of player feedback this year, highlighting gameplay elements like enhanced dribbling, more intelligent AI positioning, improved goalkeepers, and the choice between “Competitive” gameplay (such as Ultimate Team and Clubs) and “Authentic” gameplay (like Manager Career).
“FC 26 presents two new gameplay presets, each designed for distinct styles of play. Competitive is refined for head-to-head competition in Ultimate Team and Clubs, featuring quicker passing, smarter goalkeeper rebounds, and greater direct control, while Authentic provides a genuine football experience in modes like Career, showcasing more positionally-responsible defenders, realistic corner success rates, lifelike goalmouth chaos, and additional features.”
In addition, Ultimate Team will include new Tournaments and Live Events, Manager Career will introduce fresh Manager Live Challenges, and Clubs will offer greater variety overall – along with new dynamic Live Events.
The confirmed release date for EA Sports FC 26 is September 26th, 2025, though this pertains only to the standard version of the game. Those who acquire the Ultimate Edition will enjoy early access starting September 19th, and a 10-hour Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial will also be available (via EA Play) on September 19th.
