Konvoy’s evaluation relies on certain assumptions that Rockstar has yet to validate, which include an $80 initial price and a $2 billion production budget for the game itself. Those figures remain speculative, and the CEO of Rockstar’s parent corporation, Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick recently mentioned that there is “far greater value to a consumer than whatever they spend,” in comparison to “what the top-line cost is.”
No matter what, Konvoy is convinced that GTA 6 will recover its presumed $2 billion budget in less than 30 days and will become the most monumental gaming launch ever, breaking records for volume sold and revenue attained. Interestingly, Konvoy is of the opinion that GTA 6 will launch a new UGC platform that enables mod developers to create their own sections of the game, allowing them to possibly earn from their work through a creator economy similar to UEFN and Roblox.
