Xbox Brings ‘Stream Your Own Game’ To PC App For The First Time

Available today for Xbox Insiders

Xbox has been enhancing its “Stream Your Own Game” functionality with numerous new features over the past few weeks and months, and it is broadening once again – this time with specialized integration for the Xbox PC application.

As of today, Xbox Insiders in the PC Gaming Preview can utilize the app to stream over 250 games (if you possess them) including console-exclusive titles that have previously never been accessible via the Xbox PC application, though remember you’ll need to be a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber to access these as well.

“Earlier this year, we launched the “Stream your own game” feature for Game Pass Ultimate members on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, TVs, Meta Quest Headsets, and various browser-supported devices like PCs, smartphones, and tablets. Now, we’re introducing that same versatility to PC, permitting you to stream qualifying games you already possess without needing to install them directly from the Xbox PC app. This saves time, preserves hard drive space, and provides you with more flexible access to your library via cloud gaming.”

At the moment, this feature is limited to Xbox Insider members as mentioned, but it will be disseminated to the broader public at some time in the imminent future. You’ll locate them under the “Cloud Gaming” section in the application when you are eligible for them.

Don’t forget we have a comprehensive guide to ‘Stream Your Own Game’ titles here at Pure Xbox, which is constantly updating with a plethora of new additions. Xbox asserts that the program, alongside similar efforts introduced over the past year, are “part of a broader vision to extend more games to more individuals globally, across every device”.
