Only two out of five titles on the disc

Square Enix has announced that it is launching a physical PS5 package of every Life Is Strange installment to date, priced at $60 and set to be released on 2nd October 2025. Pre-orders are open now on the Square Enix Store site.
Including all games and DLC, the physical Life Is Strange Collection comprises:
- Life Is Strange Remastered
- Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered
- Life Is Strange 2
- Life Is Strange: True Colors Deluxe Edition
- Life Is Strange: Double Exposure Ultimate Edition
You will find True Colors and Double Exposure on the disc itself, while the remaining titles will be accessible through a PS Store code that comes inside the package. This trend continues from various publishers, where much of what has been marketed as a physical release is primarily digital content not actually present on the disc.
Microsoft’s conversions of Xbox titles to PS5 have been the largest culprits recently, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and DOOM: The Dark Ages featuring only a minor portion of the data needed to play the game on the physical discs. In light of the recent confirmation of an Oblivion Remastered physical version, prospective buyers are curious if the Bethesda re-release will encounter the same issue.
For the upcoming Life Is Strange Collection, you will find merely two of the five titles on the disc and will need to download the other three using the code included within the PS5 case.
Despite the digital obligations in a physical set, the $60 price point still offers a solid value, considering the number of games included. Are you planning to purchase the bundle? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
Liam was raised with a PlayStation controller in hand and a passion for Metal Gear Solid. These days, he’s found indulging in the newest and finest PS5 titles as well as cheering for Derby County. That last detail is his weakness.
