Update []: Recall this?! It has just been declared today that Hotel Barcelona is set to debut in September 2025, with the game currently ready to add to your wishlist on Xbox. A fresh trailer was also released a few months prior, which you can view at the beginning of the article.
Here are a few additional specifics about the game itself:
“Justine, a novice U.S. Marshal, believed this was merely another standard case. However, when her vehicle crashes in an unusual mishap at the middle of nowhere, she becomes ensnared in a perverse new realm: HOTEL BARCELONA. In this gory 2.5D sidescroller pulled directly from your nightmares: Battle through outrageous horror-themed levels! Confront murderers inspired by the most dreadful areas of your neighborhood video rental! Each time you perish, your previous self battles alongside you – akin to a specter with a vendetta!”
Original Narrative: Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2023 presentation has now concluded, and one of the closing unveilings of the livestream was that wild horror title Hotel Barcelona is officially arriving on Xbox next year.
Initially revealed years ago but now adequately exposed, Hotel Barcelona features “2.5D slasher film satirical action”, coming from two prominent Japanese game developers. Swery65 (Deadly Premonition, D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die) and Suda51 (Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned) are collaborating to bring this frenetic action title to existence.
Below are several in-game screenshots from Hotel Barcelona ahead of its 2024 launch on Xbox Series X|S, and we’ve embedded the brand-new gameplay trailer above.
