In Case You Forgot, There’s A New RoboCop Game Releasing On Xbox Next Week

The earlier one is part of the Summer Sale as well!

Can we be truthful and acknowledge that we had completely overlooked RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business was imminent?! Indeed, this sequel to 2023’s RoboCop: Rogue City launches for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on July 17th, 2025, and it’s priced quite reasonably if you’re keen on purchasing it at launch.

In contrast to common misconceptions, this is not an expansion for RoboCop: Rogue City – it is an entirely independent title, though it effectively serves as an “extension” of the prior game. Simply put, you might want to complete that one beforehand.

“Following RoboCop’s significant triumph over Detroit’s criminal organizations, a new story emerges in this standalone extension set subsequent to the events of RoboCop: Rogue City.

The New Guy in Town has been vanquished, but the streets continue to be packed with crime. A glimpse of hope arises from OCP’s latest initiative: OmniTower – a sprawling housing development intended specifically to cater to the needs of the inhabitants of Old Detroit. However, when a faction of elite mercenaries outfitted with advanced weaponry seizes control of the structure and transforms it into their perilous stronghold, RoboCop must intervene to thwart their schemes and maintain order.”

You can certainly anticipate a remarkably similar adventure to Rogue City in this “Unfinished Business” sequel, although it also introduces a “more lethal class of offenders”, new armaments including the Cryo Cannon, and the option to play as both Alex Murphy (aka RoboCop before he assumed his identity) and the Enforcement Droid ED-209.

The fact that Unfinished Business is regarded as an “extension” likely clarifies its quite affordable price on the Xbox Store – £24.99 in the UK, €29.99 in Europe and $29.99 in the US. It might be wise to view this as a standalone expansion rather than anything else – we’re not expecting a lengthy 10+ hour campaign from it – but that’s perfectly acceptable to us at this pricing.

And if you haven’t experienced the first one yet, now is the ideal moment! RoboCop: Rogue City‘s Alex Murphy Edition is discounted to just £5.99 / $6.99 as part of the Xbox Summer Sale, which is available only to Xbox Game Pass members this week and will be accessible to everyone else sometime next week.

We’ll include some official screenshots for RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business below.
