If you’ve ever questioned “what sort of bucket list does a fly possess,” then Time Flies is the perfect title for you.
Debuting on the Switch eShop on 31st July, this hand-illustrated journey resembles a reversed Mario Paint minigame; rather than swatting the insects, you become the fly. The game will cost $14.99 (or the equivalent in your region) on Switch, with an introductory 10% discount.
Created by Swiss animator, game developer, and co-founder of Playables Michael Frei alongside freelance developer Raphaël Munoz, Time Flies offers a brief two-hour experience where you aim to fulfill as many tasks on this fly’s bucket list before they, well, shuffle off this mortal coil.
This list features some fairly ordinary pursuits, we believe: master a musical instrument; read a book; get dr…uh, enjoy a beverage; and “bring joy to someone” (awww). Let’s hear from the developers about what to anticipate:
FEATURES:
– Explore an intricately hand-drawn, richly detailed universe
– Numerous unique and unusual objectives to achieve
– Multiple captivating methods to meet your end
– Darkly inconsistent life span based on player setting
– Charmingly precise fly physics
– The most ambitious game yet from the creator of KIDS and Plug & Play
We initially spotted this during the Day of the Devs Summer Game Fest 2022 Showcase, and we’re thrilled that, three years later, we’ll finally be able to get our hands on it.
What do you think of Time Flies? Are you eager to grab this at the month’s end? Share your bucket list in the comments.
