Ghost of Yotei is set to have its own focused PlayStation State of Play livestream later this week, which aims to provide us with our “most comprehensive look yet” at the eagerly awaited sequel to Ghost of Tsushima.
Revealed today in a PlayStation Blog article, it has been confirmed that we can look forward to “approximately 20 minutes of Ghost of Yotei gameplay” on July 10 at 2pm PT/ 5pm ET /10pm BST /11pm CEST.
It’s going to be a bit late for those in the UK and Europe, but anyone enthusiastic to see more of what developer Sucker Punch has been secretly crafting will surely want to join in and discover what it’s all about. The livestream will be available on both YouTube and Twitch.
We still have a considerable wait ahead of us before Ghost of Yotei’s release, so it’s comforting to witness a significant deep-dive stream scheduled this far in advance. PS5 users can expect to immerse themselves in the game on October 2, which is just under three months away.
To be fair, this deep dive was previously announced for the beginning of last month, but back then, it wasn’t specified exactly when in July it would occur. The game itself has significant expectations to meet following the outstanding Ghost of Tsushima, in addition to the fact that former PlayStation head Shuhei Yoshida had previously mentioned that “having experienced Ghost of Yotei at various points in its creation, I can promise you that it will surpass it, and that Sucker Punch has outdone themselves again!”
For now, we must patiently await what the developers will present to us on Thursday, with the studio’s creative directors Jason Connell and Nate Fox hosting the stream.
