Similar to other art publications from Dark Horse, The Art of Doom: The Dark Ages provides an insider’s view of the artistic and design journey of the most recent installment in Id Software’s violent game saga. This 224-page volume is filled with visuals from Id’s artistic team and commentary from the creative crew. Within, you will discover depictions of the grim medieval confrontation with Hell, an exploration of the Doom Slayer’s ever-growing arsenal, and a compendium of the demons targeted by his weaponry.

If you’re interested in a collector’s edition of the book, there will be one featuring a variant cover available solely via the Bethesda Store.

To expand your collection, you can also browse the other video game art books currently offered by Dark Horse. The company recently unveiled The Art of Marvel Rivals—set to release on September 2—and it has documented various games over the years. Each hardcover edition provides an in-depth look at how the artistic elements of each game were crafted, making them not only intriguing reads but also stylish pieces for display on your coffee table.

At the moment, you can acquire books that focus on The Last of Us, Doom Eternal, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Although it is not released by Dark Horse, the upcoming Art of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach also appears to be a fantastic addition to your personal library.
