Honestly, Donkey Kong Bananza appears amazing and we are thrilled to finally experience the latest title from the creators of Super Mario Odyssey. Moreover, Nintendo is following it up merely a week later with the Jamboree TV update for Super Mario Party Jamboree. And with all the Switch 1 games still being released, it’s shaping up to be a hectic time throughout the summer in the northern hemisphere!

New Switch 1 & 2 Titles for July & August 2025
Donkey Kong Bananza – 17th July
Nintendo’s next significant installment following Mario Kart, we had a delightful (albeit brief) experience with DKB at the Switch 2 Experiences and absolutely adored how this one appears and operates.
Featuring the newly revamped DK smashing everything in sight, we have extremely high expectations for this 3D platformer, considering it will have to sustain us until Mario decides to set aside his vehicle and return to jumping and running.
Assist Donkey Kong in navigating through the depths of the Underground World. The further he ventures, the more incredible places he discovers! There’s no lack of objects DK can demolish with his mighty punches. Break through in this genuinely chaotic adventure.
Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV – 24th July
Awkward name notwithstanding, SMPJNS2E+JTV (yikes) will be a major showcase for Nintendo’s multiplayer CameraPlay feature, which tracks and integrates players’ faces into the game, should you choose. Jamboree TV contains all the new features, but anyone who previously missed this third installment of Mario Party has plenty to anticipate.
Bear in mind, if you already possess the original either physically or digitally, you can simply purchase the (digital) Upgrade Pack individually and it will upgrade you to the Switch 2 version.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 27th August
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar aims to modernize a frequently overlooked DS title in the Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons franchise, refreshing the graphics and incorporating full voice acting, a first for the franchise.
The winds of transformation lead you to the breezy hills of Zephyr Town. Restore your farm from humble origins and revive the town’s once-celebrated bazaar. Set up your stall to vend produce and goods, while interacting with charming townsfolk to befriend and romance as you aid the community’s growth.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 28th August
A prize of a Switch title makes a return with an NS2 Edition, introducing a brand new Star-Crossed World segment and enhancing the graphics and frame rate of the original title as well. We rated this 3D platformer 9/10 in our assessment, so we have great expectations for this return to the Forgotten Land.
Keep in mind, similar to Jamboree, if you already own the original either physically or digitally, you can simply purchase the (digital) Upgrade Pack independently and it will upgrade you to the Switch 2 version.
After a powerful meteor strikes the world, Kirby must utilize his extraordinary abilities, including some new Mouthful Modes to navigate through uncharted areas in this thrilling adventure.
