However, it’s nowhere near its peak.
Xenoblade Chronicles creator Monolith Soft has recently announced a remarkable 19% rise in profits for the fiscal year ending March 2025.
As reported by Game Biz (thanks to Nintendo Everything), the firm noted gains of 487 million yen during the previous fiscal year, compared to 409 million yen the prior year. During this timeframe, Monolith developed and launched Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition for the Switch, ensuring that every main Xenoblade installment is now accessible on a single platform.

Monolith is also recognized for its significant input in various Nintendo franchises, such as Mario Kart World for the Switch 2, Splatoon 3, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Despite the upturn, this is not Monolith Soft’s most outstanding performance – far from it. According to the chart below, the firm achieved its peak performance in 2021, where it reached nearly 1,200 million yen in profit.
On the topic of robust figures, rumors have emerged indicating that Nintendo has now sold 5 million Switch 2 consoles globally since its debut. These figures come from updated information on Nintendo’s official investor page, although it has since been removed. It remains somewhat unclear what the figure signifies, but it is likely to represent projected sales that Nintendo mistakenly published on its site.
