Providing a much-needed escape during the tranquil release period of the summer months is the latest PS Plus Essential game roster for July 2025, with all three PS5, PS4 titles now ready for download. Although this wasn’t depicted in the games themselves, the assortment and recent weekend of digital events also celebrated the 15th anniversary of the service.

When asked in our typical weekend Poll, only 24% of the Push Square audience selected “it’s a terrible selection”. This appears to be a step forward! 41% of participants were at least somewhat pleased with the lineup, while 19% regarded it as merely “acceptable”. Unsurprisingly, it’s the Blizzard title Diablo 4 that has generated the most enthusiasm.
