UK Charts: Hideo Kojima’s Latest Project Leaves Mario Kart World Stranded In 2nd
By The current UK Charts have arrived, and perhaps predictably, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On The Beach has securely secured the top position after its launch, relegating Mario Kart World to second place for the first occasion.
Surprisingly, however, it appears that physical sales for DS2 have decreased by 66% compared to its predecessor, as reported by The Game Business’ Chris Dring. It’s a noticeably different environment now, of course, so it’s plausible that there are merely significantly more digital transactions this time around.
In other news, Nightdive Studios’ remarkable The Thing: Remastered made its debut on the charts at number seven following its recent physical launch, and if you haven’t experienced that title yet, we highly advocate doing so. The physical version fared significantly better on the PS5, which isn’t entirely unexpected given it enjoys a silky-smooth 120fps on Sony’s system.
