Level-500k

Fantasy Life was, in the past, a Nintendo 3DS exclusive – but bringing its long-anticipated follow-up to multiple platforms seems to be yielding excellent results for Level-5.
Regarding the iconic developer’s long (long) expected return – truly, it hasn’t successfully launched a game besides Megaton Musashi in more than six years – it has been verified that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has surpassed 500,000 copies sold.
While sales data varies across platforms, we are aware that the game has reached a peak of 60k concurrent players on Steam this weekend, placing it well ahead of other significant recent releases such as DOOM: The Dark Ages.
In somewhat related news, the Japanese studio has revealed its plans to introduce free DLC for the title down the line in celebration of its worldwide success. This will consist of new recipes and additional content intended to utilize “high rarity weapons”.
This is all part of a revival for Level-5, with other forthcoming titles such as Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road and DECAPOLICE.
