Check Out This New YouTube Channel For Negativity-Free Pokémon Chat

Pokémon, huh? Fantastic, isn’t it? Of course, we’re huge Pocket Monster enthusiasts around here, but we can also assert without hesitation that certain segments of the Pokéfandom can become a tad, well, intense. A bit riled up. A bit over-the-top at times. What’s that sound? Sounds like pitchforks being honed…

Luckily, if you’re in search of a place to maintain your PokéPositivity at its peak while eliminating all the negativity, there’s a new channel launching that aims to concentrate on just the positive aspects. Presenting Amphie!

If this specific Pokétuber seems a bit recognizable and you’re curious why we’re suddenly promoting him specifically, well, that’s a friend of the site and former NL staff member extraordinaire Ryan Craddock!

Ryan’s fantastic. Have you strummed a guitar with Miyamoto? Ryan’s jammed with Shigeru Miyamoto.

Anyway, he’s launching a Pokéchannel (Ryan, not Shigsy) which he characterizes as “a relaxing, soothing space to talk about everything Pokémon”, and considering the drama that so often encircles the franchise for numerous reasons, that sounds quite promising to us. You can view his introductory video above, with “the initial proper video” anticipated for next week.

He’s also venturing into a new musical project featuring an upcoming album (unrelated to Pokémon). Apparently, it’s a bit emo, so we’re not certain we can fully endorse that just yet. But if some genuine pop punk appeals to you, keep an ear out later in the year.

In the meantime, give Amphie a like, a subscribe, a follow, ring the bell, bang the drum — all that jazz — and keep an eye out for his premier video next week. It’s bound to be delightful!
