Sifu dev’s soccer game accessible shortly

Rematch, the online multiplayer soccer game from the creators of Sifu and Absolver, is scheduled for launch in June, but prior to that, you’ll have an opportunity to experience it with an open beta trial.

The upcoming beta will incorporate consoles for the first time, including PS5 naturally. The open beta occurs from 28th May to 31st May, beginning and concluding at 1pm BST / 5am PDT / 8am EDT on those specific dates.

To participate, you can register for a beta invitation via the official site, but developer Sloclap will be granting access to all starting 29th May.

To engage in the beta, you’ll require an active PS Plus subscription. Cross-play will not be available in the beta, but it will be facilitated in the final release.

To summarize, Rematch is a 5v5 soccer game where 10 players occupy each distinct position on the field. It is a type of Rocket League-ification of the genuine sport; brief match periods, no fouls or officials, a focus on collaboration, and zones that allow for bouncing the ball off barriers.

This marks a significant shift for Sloclap’s combat-oriented creations, yet Rematch appears to preserve the studio’s quick movement and animations, and it seems to offer a comparably high skill cap too.

We are eager to try the game during the open beta next week, but what about you? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
