Update [Sat 17th May 2025, 4am]: Nintendo’s latest store in San Francisco is officially open! Nintendo of America’s president Doug Bowser attended the grand launch along with the city’s mayor Daniel Lurie.

Original News: It’s a rare occasion when Nintendo inaugurates a new retail location, making this week particularly unique.

If you missed this announcement, the Nintendo San Francisco branch has launched this week, and the US team has been sharing various promotions and merchandise previews. A select few have even had the chance to visit the store prior to its public opening.

Additionally, this opening coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Nintendo New York store. Nintendo shared an interesting “then and now” comparison, showcasing Nintendo World from years past:
