DREAMING about this one

Back in February, we revealed that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time would signify the franchise’s inaugural Xbox debut after nearly three decades of anticipation – and now the initial review of the game has surfaced, indicating that this new Fantasy Life installment could be quite impressive.

Thanks to our pals over at Nintendo Life, we noticed that the Japanese publication Famitsu has endorsed Fantasy Life i. In advance of the game’s Xbox debut on May 21st, the site has awarded the title a 9/9/9/9 rating – totaling an exceptional 36/40 score overall.

If this initial review has sparked your curiosity about the forthcoming “slow-life RPG” on Xbox, we’ll provide some additional details about the title below. Fantasy Life i very much embodies a ‘Nintendo game’ aesthetic, offering a delightful alternative for that kind of experience on Xbox.

“Dive into this Slow-Life RPG where you can effortlessly transition between 14 distinct jobs, known as “Lives,” and savor a laid-back existence in a fantastical realm. Fish, cook, shape the island to your preference, or unite with friends to combat monsters throughout the expansive world. The choice is yours in determining what kind of Life you’ll embrace!”

We will also include the game’s release date trailer below, and as previously mentioned, this one arrives for Xbox Series X|S on May 21st, 2025.
