News has surfaced that the Switch 2 might contain a beneficial feature for users who frequently deal with error alerts while operating the console.

An individual at a recent Nintendo Switch 2 Showcase unveiled that a QR code is included when an error alert pops up, taking users to a webpage offering guidance and troubleshooting steps for the issue at hand.

The individual who reported this on Reddit (via Nintendosoup) explained that whilst waiting to play Drag x Drive, they noticed a demonstration Switch 2 console receiving a connection error, activating an error screen. The screen exhibited the error code, a description of the problem, a link to Nintendo’s website, and a QR code.

They relayed that they didn’t have sufficient time to capture an image but they managed to draft a representation of what they recollected (see below) – albeit not entirely precise.

GameSpot has reached out to Nintendo to gain further insights regarding this. This appears to be a much-needed and beneficial function for the Switch 2. Dealing with error codes is consistently aggravating – therefore, providing something to potentially expedite problem-solving, like a QR code with useful steps, seems like a promising initiative.

The Switch 2 release is set for June 5, retailing at $450 standalone or $500 bundled with a copy of Mario Kart World. Majority of the units are already taken but GameSpot’s Switch 2 preorder guide might improve your chances of securing one.
