“Nico, it’s Roman”

There’s hope GTA 4 and its two iconic expansion packs could be coming to the PS5.
For those playing on PlayStation, the sombre Liberty City escapade is one of several titles still tethered to the PS3, with no way to stream it or replay it on contemporary hardware.
But well-connected Rockstar know-it-all Tez2, writing on the GTA Forums, reckons a port could be in the works.
He said that his source “hinted” at the conversion, and that development should be relatively deep by now.
“We may end up seeing it drop later this year,” he speculated. “And it’s one more reason, in addition to existing reasons, the Liberty City Preservation Project mod was taken down.”
We know from the latest GTA 6 trailer that protagonist Lucia Caminos grew up in Liberty City, so there may be value in allowing players to revisit the New York-inspired sandbox on PS5 – especially seeing as the original game is now over 17 years old.
But would you be interested in replaying GTA 4 all these years later? The game struck a much stiffer and moodier tone than its predecessors, but it had some incredible ideas – and its more light-hearted expansion packs were sublime, too.
