Describing the upcoming crossover between Magic: The Gathering and Square Enix’s Final Fantasy as popular would be quite the understatement. Almost all of the MTG x Final Fantasy TCG items sold out within days of preorders launching in February, and most sellers still have none left. If you’re still hoping to snag some preorders before the set’s June 13 launch, Walmart has restocked some of the prominent card sets: The official Starter Set, Final Fantasy Bundle, and Play Booster Display.
Magic: The Gathering’s eagerly awaited crossover with Final Fantasy has been hard to locate at major retailers since preorders started in February. If you’re keen on acquiring some Final Fantasy-themed Magic cards before the collection’s June 13 debut, there’s another opportunity to preorder some of the most desired products from Walmart and Target.
The Final Fantasy Starter Set, which consists of two pre-made MTG game decks, is back in stock for its $20 MSRP (sold and shipped by Walmart). You can also preorder the
Final Fantasy Bundle for $70. This collection acts as a tasting selection, featuring nine booster packs, two artwork foil cards, 32 Land cards, and a box for storage. When ordering, ensure to click “More seller options” and select the version sold and shipped by Walmart. Final Fantasy Booster Boxes are listed at $145, but these are provided by a third-party with Walmart’s “Pro Seller” label.
In the meantime, Target stocks one of the Commander Decks priced at $73, along with various other offerings.
Magic x Final Fantasy Preorder Replenishments:
- MTG: Final Fantasy Starter Kit — $20
- MTG: Final Fantasy Bundle — $70
- MTG: Final Fantasy Booster Box — $145
- MTG: Final Fantasy Commander Deck – Revival Trance — $73
Every one of the 16 primary Final Fantasy titles is showcased in Magic’s Final Fantasy collection. Besides the previously mentioned products, the set encompasses four Commander Decks and four Collector Commander Decks. Regrettably, most of them are currently out of stock; however, you can preorder a set containing all four decks for $344 at Walmart (retail price is $280).
Feel free to explore the complete Magic x Final Fantasy collection below. As noted, the majority of items in this assortment are presently unavailable at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target. Therefore, we suggest clicking on the links if you spot something of interest, as occasional restocks—like the recent one at Walmart on May 9—are frequent with Magic cards.
Magic: The Gathering is collaborating with Spider-Man this September. Preorders for the Spider-Man Scene Box, Bundle, and Play Booster Box can be found on Amazon.
