Curious about the diverse alien beings in Revenge of the Savage Planet? Numerous lifeforms across various planets can be captured. Doing so grants you incredible upgrades, requiring significant effort to explore thoroughly. Our guide provides all the information you need to enhance your gameplay.
All alien beings you can capture in Revenge of the Savage Planet – Alien fauna guide
The game features 36 alien lifeforms/fauna available for capture. Utilize the Proton Whip for this purpose. Just press and hold the button to lasso and draw a target closer. If you remain stationary or avoid damage during this action, a vortex will materialize and attract the creature. Keep in mind that in some scenarios, you may need to briefly incapacitate a target by striking its weak point first.
When captured, alien creatures will reappear in the pens of your habitat. From there, you can access the computer at your base to study their biology. This yields various unlocks, including new gadgets/abilities and outfit color palettes.
Note 1: In our guide, we’ve included only those creatures that can be captured with the lasso and subsequently researched on your computer. We have excluded:
- Small critters – Such as Mantis and Kiwi Slug, which tend to die instantly when struck with your whip or when stepped on.
- Bosses, space whales, and hazardous plants – These cannot be captured.
- Underwater species – Your whip can’t be utilized underwater.
- Enemies encountered in Interstellar Enigma shrines – Hybrid versions of standard enemies can be scanned, but the whip lasso won’t work on them. The item rewards acquired at the end of each trial, however, do need to be studied.
Note 2: Some animals inhabit multiple worlds/biomes, but we’ve listed them on the planet where they were first found.

- Beetle – Its weak point is its rear end.
- Fecal Beetle – Shares the same weak spot in its rear end, but you must break its poop carapace using your whip.
