EA has revealed that it will fully disclose the next Battlefield installment this summer, with the complete game slated for PS5 release by March 2026. The upcoming first-person shooter is presently undergoing testing through a Battlefield Labs initiative.
This information was validated during the publisher’s recent financial report, where CEO Andrew Wilson described the launch as a “crucial milestone in providing our next wave of blockbuster entertainment.” It was also disclosed that the forthcoming free-to-play Skate title will debut in the same period.
Along with the release timeframe, EA DICE shared a comprehensive update on Battlefield Labs via Twitter. The studio stated it has now “solidified a robust foundation for a fundamental Battlefield experience” and plans to expand its testing efforts. This month, more players across Europe, the USA, and Asia will be invited to participate.
They mentioned: “In addition to testing new features, we’ll keep refining our initial core areas, including balancing various weapon types, damage metrics, and movement plus combat pacing mechanics.”
It’s been a while since the last EA Play Live event, so it’s likely the announcement will occur in a dedicated livestream instead of as part of a larger showcase. Are you excited for a new title after Battlefield 2042? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a passion for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he enjoys playing the latest PS5 titles while cheering for Derby County. Unfortunately, that last detail is a source of disappointment.
