The PS5 Pro version of Xbox’s newly announced Gears of War remaster will be the best console version of the game.
While it wasn’t mentioned in the original press release, the official PS Store page for the title now mentions that the third-person shooter will be PS5 Pro Enhanced, meaning you can probably expect resolution and performance upgrades on Sony’s supercharged system.
Microsoft is already touting 4K resolution at framerates of up to 120fps in multiplayer, as well as enhanced shadows and lighting, remastered textures, and more. Our guess is that the PS5 Pro version will turn up all the settings, much like Forza Horizon 5.
One other thing worth noting is that the title will feature full DualSense support as well, including compatibility with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Active Reload’s about to feel better than it ever has before, huh?
While there’s no trailer yet, the reception to Gears of Wars: Reloaded on PS5 has been humongous.
On social media website X (formerly Twitter), PlayStation’s post about the game attracted over 53k likes. By comparison, the same post by Xbox mustered just 14k likes, although Sony does have more than double the number of followers.
