In the previous year, Xbox has been releasing more first-party intellectual properties on various platforms, and in their latest announcement, they revealed that this endeavor will continue with Gears of War: Reloaded.

This remastered edition of the initial game is not only making its way to Xbox and PC systems but will also be officially available on the PlayStation 5 for the first time this August. This revelation comes after persistent speculation – including discussions about Xbox possibly extending the Halo franchise to other systems in the future.

This recent statement aligns with remarks made by The Verge’s senior editor Tom Warren in March of this year, who indicated that Xbox’s new direction is projected to expand in 2025 with “numerous more titles” arriving on both the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, also acknowledged in April that Nintendo has been an exemplary partner – emphasizing that this collaboration is “a vital aspect” of Xbox’s future strategy.

Which titles from the Xbox collection would you like to see on the Switch 2? Is the original Gears game one of them? Share your thoughts in the comments.
