
Freedom Wars Remastered Updated On Switch, Here Are The Patch Notes
Bandai Namco has released a latest update for Freedom Wars Remastered on the Switch, enhancing the game to version 1.8.0 (thanks to Nintendo Everything).
This update is quite substantial, adding various bug fixes, gameplay modifications, and new functionalities.
If you haven’t tried Freedom Wars Remastered yet, we believe it’s definitely worth exploring, especially if you enjoyed the original 2014 version on the PS Vita. Bug Fixes
- Resolved Issue Causing Unresponsiveness When Accessing Volunteer Guidance Requests
Addressed a problem that made the game unresponsive when trying to access the Volunteer Guidance Request from the cell monitor.
- Modified Invincibility Frames During Evasion with Autocannons
Corrected an issue where invincibility frames during evasion were unintentionally prolonged when utilizing Autocannons.
- Rectified Issue Where Thorn Ejection Could Skip Cutscenes
Fixed a glitch that allowed the Thorn Ejection button to skip all in-battle camera cutscenes, such as those activated upon defeating an Abductor.
- Addressed Issue Where Lock-On Was Cancelled During Spear Attacks
Corrected a bug where the lock-on would be lost when executing a weak attack with a spear while targeting an enemy.
- Fixed Issue Where Deleting Accessory Loadouts Caused Incorrect Display
Resolved a bug that left the accessory loadout name visible while improperly deleting the Sinner’s loadout name when removing an accessory loadout in “Contribution Guidance Request > Appearance/Body Modification Records”.
- Resolved Issue Where Destination Icon Stayed After Completing Operation
Corrected a problem where the destination icon remained displayed after the operation “DO: XX8-5: Liquidation”

- Fixed Issue Where Skip Button was Incorrectly Shown as Thorn Ejection Button During Battles
Addressed a glitch where the skip prompt during skippable battle cutscenes was inaccurately displayed as the Thorn Ejection button.

- [Steam] Resolved Issue Where Gamepad Inputs Were Incorrect
Fixed a bug leading to improper inputs when using a gamepad, specifically difficulties in controlling movement with the analog stick.
- [Switch] Resolved Issue Where Online Room Info Didn’t Update Correctly
Corrected a bug that prevented online room information from updating properly, including multiple players appearing with the same Sinner ID.

Fixed various crash-related bugs to enhance overall game stability.

Specification Adjustments/Changes
- Adjusted Burn Damage
Increased the damage dealt by the Burn status effect, which is caused by fire-based attacks accumulatively.
- Modified Tracking Performance of Artificial Abductors’ Armaments
Adjusted the tracking ability of “H Missile Pod” and “Guided Missile Launcher” weapons utilized by Artificial Abductors.
- Altered Accessory Behavior to Enhance Hit Detection with Select Weapons
Modified the behavior of Accessories equipped with Igel-series weapons to improve hit accuracy, as attacks often fell short of the target.
- Adjusted Weapon Balance
-Murasame Series: Enhanced movement speed.
-Murasame & Damascus Knife Series: Increased damage for weak attack combos and downward slash in vertical spinning attacks.
-AAW Series: Reduced damage multiplier and blast radius in PvP; enhanced ammo replenishment rate.
-Igel Series: Increased magazine expansion, maximum ammo capacity, ammo replenishment frequency, movement speed, and damage multiplier in PvP; attacks can now affect multiple parts.
-Blaster Series: Boosted power, stagger damage, blast radius, headshot multiplier, and damage multiplier in PvP.
-Phalanx Series: Enhanced magazine count and maximum ammo capacity.
-Enryu Series: Adjusted to lower chances of bullets hitting the ground immediately after firing.
-Nambu Series: Modified to lessen the likelihood of bullets hitting the ground immediately after firing. Additionally, boosted power and maximum lock-on count.
-Creamy Series: Increased magazine size and maximum ammo capacity.
-Mutated Weapons (Ammo Replenishment Rate): Significantly improved mutation parameters. - Adjusted Part Break and Acquisition Rewards for General-Purpose Artificial Abductors
Adjusted resource grades (A/B/C/D) obtained from part breakage and pickups on Standard Bipedal and Quadrupedal Artificial Abductors to better align with the target Abductor’s level.
- Modified GDPP Earned in PvP Operations
Adjusted the GDPP earned displayed on the results screen of PvP operations.
- Removed Ability to Skip In-Battle Cutscenes with Thorn Ejection Button
Eliminated the ability to skip cutscenes utilizing the Thorn Ejection button to prevent unintentional skipping.
- Introduced Dash Function Option
Added an option to enable or disable the dashing feature by holding down the evade button, found under “Sinner Management Menu > Options > Other Settings.”
- Relaxed Requirements for Temporary Accessory Selection
Modified the feature so that temporary accessories—previously usable only when your accessory was abducted—can now be freely used in any operation where accessories are permitted.
Note: Temporary Accessories = Accessories from players who have exchanged Fellow Cards.
- New TIPS Viewing Function Added
Added functionality to view TIPS from “Accessory Services > Education Program Review Request.”
- Revised Display Format of Modular Selection Screen
Altered the format of the Modular Selection Screen, so if you have multiple modulars of the same type, they will now be grouped together by type.
- Changed Sort Function in Equipment Customization Screen
Amended the sorting function in the Equipment Customization Screen, so items sorted by “Category” are now arranged by weapon series rather than alphabetically by weapon name.
