Age of Empires 2! The Midnight Stroll! Plus more!

Once again, we’re gathering all the significant new PS5 and PS4 titles launching this week.

Frankly, it’s another relatively quiet week, with the standout perhaps being the launch of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition on PS5, years after its adaptation for the PS2. We’d like to give a special shout-out to The Midnight Stroll.

Here’s a list of all the new PS5 and PS4 games releasing this week.

New PS5, PS4 Titles This Week (5th-11th May)

  • Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (6th May – PS5): “Dive into all the original Campaigns along with popular expansions like never before.   • Captain Blood (6th May – PS5, PS4): “Captain Blood is a pirate-themed action adventure located in the Spanish Main during the 17th century, where you assume the role of a fierce pirate on a mission for riches and fame. Anticipate thrilling escapades with cannon blasts, pistol firing, swashbuckling swordplay, and abundant pirate antics. This action-packed hack’n’slash presents intense hand-to-hand combat, swarms of adversaries, along with a classic fighting mechanism featuring impressive combos and grand finishers.”
  • King Arthur: Legion IX (6th May – PS5): “King Arthur: Legion IX is a turn-based, character-focused tactical RPG within the King Arthur: Knight’s Tale realm – a dark fantasy retelling of the Arthurian legend. It invites newcomers to the legendary land of Avalon with a fresh narrative and champions, as well as formidable challenges for returning players.”
  • Metal Eden (6th May – PS5): “METAL EDEN is a high-octane sci-fi FPS. The advanced HYPER UNIT ASKA embarks on a perilous mission to rescue the citizens’ CORES from the vast monolithic city MOEBIUS, once a hopeful haven for humanity that has now turned into a lethal trap.”

  • Wings of Endless (8th May – PS5, PS4): “Enter the shoes of Hariku, a bold bounty hunter who prides himself on being the best in his field.   • Little Kitty, Big City (9th May – PS5, PS4): “Will you navigate your way home or will you first delve into the offerings of the bustling city? While returning home is undoubtedly your primary aim. Well, it’s one of your aims. More like a guideline… It’s somewhere on your To-Do list! But first? Exploration!”
  • Sir Whoopass: Immortal Death (9th May – PS5): “Countless are the tales of valor and magnificence, of rescuing the princess and receiving her hand and half the kingdom in marriage.”
  • Spiritfall (9th May – PS5, PS4): “Spiritfall is a rapid-paced Action Roguelite with combat reminiscent of Platform Fighters. Slash, crush, launch, and wall-splat an array of foes using a constantly evolving arsenal of divine powers.”
  • What Comes After (9th May – PS5, PS4): “What Comes After is a side-scrolling journey and a heartfelt narrative about learning to embrace oneself. Accompany Vivi on her voyage aboard the train to the afterlife and back.”
