Similar to its forerunner, the Nintendo Switch 2 presents several input options immediately available, including a touch screen, conventional buttons, and motion controls. Moreover, the new Joy-Con 2 controllers can be set on a surface and function as a mouse, enhancing its capabilities even further.
Mouse controls also offer novel gameplay possibilities for a home console, with numerous games already utilizing this feature. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond enables players to switch to mouse controls seamlessly for greater accuracy in shooting, while the wheelchair basketball title Drag x Drive employs mouse functionality to simulate vehicle maneuvering.
Over a dozen Switch 2 games are confirmed to incorporate mouse controls, and more titles are expected to be revealed as additional developers launch games for this new console. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster
The Switch 2 remaster of Square Enix’s cherished 3DS RPG introduces additional content, including two new minigames that utilize dual mouse controls.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
Along with motion controls, the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 includes optional mouse controls, granting players PC-like accuracy and aiming during battles.
Deltarune
According to designer Toby Fox, the Switch 2 version of Deltarune will include “a very small exclusive room that takes advantage of using mouse controls on two controllers simultaneously.”

Hogwarts Legacy
Instead of providing an upgrade for the Switch 1 version, Warner Bros. is launching an entirely new edition of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 2. This fresh iteration will support mouse controls, although specifics remain limited.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess
Capcom’s stylish action-strategy title also features mouse functionality on Switch 2, allowing players to intuitively place villager allies and issue commands.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond enables players to switch to mouse mode spontaneously during gameplay, facilitating more precise aiming and shooting.
Mouse Work
Despite not yet having a Switch 2 development kit, developer Nitrome’s latest party game is designed entirely around mouse controls. Mouse Work challenges players to complete various mouse-controlled minigames, like stacking boxes and shutting pop-up advertisements.
