SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered Switch Physical Release Arrives Next Month

If you’ve been waiting for a physical edition of SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered on Switch, which debuted on the eShop in March, you’re in luck as it’s on its way.

Playasia shared an update on social media regarding its physical edition featuring “multi-language” support (with English included on the cartridge) and an English cover. It will cost you $36.99 USD or the equivalent in your region, and it is anticipated to ship on 5th June 2025. Additionally, VGP is expected to offer the “multi-language” version.

When this Square Enix remaster launched on Switch a few months back, we found it to be a commendable endeavor, awarding it eight out of ten stars.

“SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered is a commendable port of an outstanding JRPG from over twenty years ago. It preserves the essence of the original — the narrative and the characters — while enhancing it with added plot elements. Although we weren’t particularly fond of the combat mechanics or the exploration puzzles, they don’t detract from the compelling story.”
